Jaime is the Founder and Director of Opening Minds. He has explored mindfulness with children, young adults and elders in a variety of settings from weekend courses to offering long residential retreats.

He is a graduate of a three years school of mindfulness, who went to spend a further three years as a resident practitioner at the Wangapeka Study and Retreat centre.

Jaime is a founding Director of the Young Adult Retreat, and Director of the six-week Bodhi Seeds Retreat. He is currently bringing a three year global school of Wisdom and Compassion in to being for young adults.

He is one of a few males (only one in the NZ training) qualified to offer Open Floor, he is passionate about helping men young and old to find refuge and belonging through aware awake movement.

Apprentice to living well, with clear mind and wild heart, I weave Mindful Inquiry, Open Floor, and Rites of Passage together to the open conversation of how to educate the whole human being.

This experience has been nourishing, deepening, playful and serious at the same time. The movement and mindfulness practices complement each other beautifully, and I appreciated having spaces to integrate and contemplate. The location is perfect, and Jamie is a skilled teacher with much compassion, knowledge and laughter to share.
