  • B.A. Honours in Community Studies from Bradford University UK 

  • 10+ years experience as a school teacher in Secondary and Primary settings.

  • Three years as resident practitioner at the Wangapeka study and retreat centre

  • Graduate of a three year school of mindfulness/meditation.

  • Qualified MBSR teacher

  • Musician, poet and song writer.

Jaime is the Founder and Director of Opening Minds. He has explored mindfulness with children, yougn adults and elders in a variety of setting froms weekend courses to offering 6 week retreats.

As a meditation and movement teacher he has studied extensively with Tarchin Hearn who encouraged Jaime to facilitate and teach. He is a graduate of a three years school of living dharma. He went to spend a further three years as a resident practitioner at the Wangapeka Study and Retreat centre. Jaime is a founding Director of the Young Adult Retreat, and Director of the six-week Bodhi Seeds Retreat.

Jaime is a director for the Community Rites of Passage Foundation. This works involves offering community led rites of passage events every year.

Jaime is a qualified Open Floor Movement Teacher.

I bring these three rivers, Open Floor, Mindful inquiry and Rites of Passage together as an offering to the open conversation of how to educate the whole human being.
